  • Michigan College Settles Whistle-Blower Lawsuit

In Michigan, Lansing Community College has settled a whistle-blower lawsuit with its former council. The college’s former Michigan personal injury lawyers had alleged that the president of the college, Judith F. Cardenas had misspent the school’s funds and was subsequently fired because of the accusation.

The college has decided to settle the lawsuit for $175,000. Even though Lansing Community College has admitted no wrongdoing it has also paid several past employees $36,000 and $388,000 in similar cases.
